Description

  • What You WillDo:

    • Ensuresprocurement and distribution of drug orders 
    • Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergencycrash carts, OR carts and floor stock accurately
    • Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy andparenteral nutrition) accurately
    • Deliversmedications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areasaccurately
    • Rotates stock to ensure use beforeexpiration date
    • Picks up orders, requisitions,and medications for return from patient care areas when on deliveryrounds
    • Enters charges and credits for patientmedications accurately
    • Identifies and replacesoutdated and unusable drugs

     

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Six months pharmacy technician experience preferably in ahospital setting
    • Possess current pharmacytechnician license in the State of New Mexico
    • National Pharmacy Technician certificationpreferred
    • Successful completion of a formalPharmacy Technician training course preferred

Pharmacy Hours:
Rotating work schedule includes:

Monday –Friday

  • 7am – 3pm & 12pm –8pm

Saturday and Sunday

  • 7am – 5pm
