Calling on Communications Disorders/Speech Language Pathology majors based in Lafayette, IN, and seeking greater exposure to the world of speech therapy Soliant has partnered with a school in the area and is seeking a part-time candidate to facilitate virtual therapy services for 3 days a week.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communications Disorders OR
  • Bachelor's degree in an adjacent field, such as Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or Health Sciences

Applicants will be working closely with a licensed, virtual Speech-Language Pathologist, and supporting students with their remote therapy.

As a speech facilitator, the candidate will:

  • Accompany students to and from their therapy station
  • Assist students with logging on, and troubleshootaudio or video issues that may arise
  • Ensure that students are able to access therapy or test materials on screen or in print
  • Monitor student attention, and redirect students if needed
  • Engage students in activities peripheral to speech therapy, such as reading aloud together, or playing games to help with therapy goals
  • Perform support duties, such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
  • Test or maintain equipment to ensure correct performance.
