JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Senior SharePoint Engineer/Integrator will apply experience and understanding of data management and business process development to assist the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager in providing customer-facing, programmatic information management services. These services include daily SharePoint architecture, support, and the troubleshooting of collaborative information management systems.  

This role requires a wide range of IT experience in system and application development, design, and deployment as well as the ability to troubleshoot system-related issues. Also critical is the ability to adjust to client enterprise technologies and their impacts to backend information system design and implementation.   

The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in identifying, designing, and implementing solutions to support and facilitate tangible operational improvements using SharePoint and a variety of other IT applications. This individual should embody a passion for continuous improvement and a deep understanding of data-driven decision-making design principles.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide day to day SharePoint Subject Matter Expertise regarding the integration of program data across several versions of SharePoint, Power-BI, and Excel.
  • Compile weekly and monthly metrics to identify trends and provide customer facing solutions
  • Provide critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting including site problems
  • Address site permission issues and the creation and configuration of sites and sub-sites
  •  Support content classification using managed metadata, knowledge browsing, navigation, and search-driven content discovery
  • Participate in the design and implementation of methods, procedures, and systems to improve the processing and flow of information within the program
  • Document both business and technical processes across the program as needed 
  •  Analyze, author, deploy and maintain workflow solutions as defined by sponsor and corporate users  
  •  Manage branding, themes, page layouts, and web parts
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to sponsor and corporate customers regarding enterprise architecture, information architecture, and its impact on business operations 
  • Routinely examine current processes and seek value-added improvements for future states  
  •  Assess program processes and procedures and propose improvements to the PM/DPM 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

Demonstrated experience in: 

  • Data management principles and data-driven design 
  • Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) activities/principles 
  • Designing, deploying, maintain collaboration solutions (e.g., MS SharePoint) 
  • SharePoint workflow authoring and designing 
  • Modeling data for visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 10+ years of directly relevant System Engineering experience 
  • Outstanding communication skills 
  • PMP or equivalent certification demonstrating project management skills 
  • Action-oriented, detailed, organized, and can work well independently and with teams 
  • Ability to react positively to changing environments and advance progress with minimal guidance and oversight.
