Excellent Cardiology Opportunity in Danbury, Connecticut (Fairfield County, 60 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, is seeking a full-time non-invasive Cardiologist to join our established and growing employed practice in Danbury, Connecticut. We are located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. The practice includes thirteen cardiologists and six APRNs and excellent support staff in addition to teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows. Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. Cardiac services at the hospital include Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Arrhythmia Center. Our Cardiac Surgery Program includes TAVR.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and generous allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as sign on bonus and relocation allowance.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Cardiology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply. The position includes inpatient work at Danbury Hospital and outpatient office services in our main office in the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital campus. The position includes teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows at Danbury Hospital.

Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Practice includes 1000+ employed physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four-season recreational activities. The areas offers highly rated public and private schools and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible.
