Sales Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical link between our company and clients, managing existing customer relationships while driving new business development. The Sales Engineer will leverage their technical expertise in sales application engineering, fan/pump/system design, and plant layout to provide tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored engineering solutions.
- Cultivate new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Manage and optimize physical plant operations, including plant layout and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sales application engineering, fan/pump/system design, and sizing.
- Expertise in plant layout, physical plant management, and facilities operations.
- Proficiency in solid/3D modeling software, Inventor, Solidworks, and 2D drafting.
- Background in sheet-metal fabrication, welding, and construction equipment operation.
- Strong business acumen with experience in operations management, P&L responsibility, and contract management.
- Certifications such as FE/EIT, PE, PMP, or experience in construction management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS, BSME) or related field.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
