Project Officer, Lead

The Opportunity:

As a project management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of DoD programs. You’ll work with key stakeholders to facilitate communications and coordinate milestone planning. You’ll help with tactical planning using resources like MS Project and regular interactions with integrated product team stakeholders, project officers, and senior leaders. The real impact of project management comes from communication to ensure the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards. Work with us and ensure mission critical Defense programs accomplish their programmatic goals within budget as we improve the quality of products delivered to the Warfighter. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in managing cost, schedule, and performance of Army or DoD programs

  • Experience with the DoD Acquisition Life Cycle process

  • Experience facilitating communications with stakeholders and suppliers to support product development or ongoing production programs

  • Knowledge of risk management processes and tools

  • Ability to lead integrated product team (IPT) discussions and present findings to senior leaders

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
