Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This role involves managing and evaluating staff performance, overseeing the disbursement of checks, and ensuring that departmental objectives are met on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis with operational accuracy.
- Responsible for training and developing team members handling disbursements.
- Conducts annual performance reviews for the staff.
- Manages intercompany netting on a monthly basis.
- Completes journal entries during month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
- Oversees the preparation of annual 1099 forms.
- Monitors and manages cash flow reports, ensuring that all payments are made timely and in accordance with company policies.
- Reviews payments for accuracy before obtaining approval from senior management.
- Reconciles accounts payable totals and the general ledger with relevant records.
- Supports the timely and accurate updates of visual management boards.
- Ensures meticulous recordkeeping of purchases for audit purposes.
- Collects employer identification numbers or social security numbers from vendors to prepare and file 1099 forms.
- Oversees the proper storage and maintenance of records to ensure readiness for audits.
- Takes on other related duties as assigned by management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and management practices, along with expertise in accounts payable processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in SAP and/or Oracle systems, with solid data entry skills for expense reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough understanding of the 1099 filing process.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Ability to quickly respond and manage tasks efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading a team of 4 or more.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Flexibility with in-office hours is required.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
