Job Description

The AWS DevOps Engineer will 

  • Help provide the developers infrastructure and process to develop and deploy code to meet operational stability, standards, and success.
  • Manage and maintain virtual infrastructure in AWS including EC2 instances, VPC’s, Subnets, Security groups, etc., throughout multiple enclaves and utilizing industry standard technologies such as Ansible, Jenkins, Kibana, and CloudFormation.
  • Develop and automate infrastructure updates, deployments, and patches.
  • Understand customer requirements, automation tool, IT infrastructure.
  • Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
  • Troubleshoot techniques and fix the code.
  • Adhere to process improvement and build automated process wherever possible.
  • Ability to identify and deploy cyber security measures, perform vulnerability assessment, risk management.

Qualification

  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer Associate 

Required Skills

  • Experience in System Administration, Linux administration, automation, and Cloud infrastructure. 
  • Extensive AWS Experience
  • Automation Scripting (Bash preferred)
  • Experience with Python, YAML, Jenkins, Ansible, and Git
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (CloudFormation preferred)
  • Linux management
  • Deployment experience
  • Basic AWS networking (VPC/SG/ELB)
  • Security Remediations/Patch cycles
  • Agile experience
  • Good oral and written communication
