Responsibilities:

As a School Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide valuable support and assistance in speech and language therapy services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Conducting therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Supporting students' progress monitoring and documentation.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for students.
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials and resources for therapy sessions.
  • Participating in team meetings and providing input for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Oklahoma.
  • Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
