DARPA/BTO - Health and Life Science (HLS) Junior Analyst - Security Clearance Required

Amentum is looking for a junior candidate with HLS industry personnel to expand our Department of Defense (DoD) and other public health client space. This position will provide on-site support at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)/ Biological Technology Office (BTO). The BTO is DARPA’s technology arm focused on leveraging advances in engineering and information sciences to drive and reshape biotechnology for technological advantage. BTO is responsible for all neurotechnology, human-machine interface, human performance, infectious disease, and synthetic biology programs within the agency.

The ideal candidate will have technical managerial, and/or financial management experience/studies supporting DoD domain area/projects. Program Analysts will perform on site (5 days/week), working with the Government to help define, execute and manage their technology development programs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the project lead in the execution of multiple advanced technology development programs
  • Coordinate and Integrate program activities with the project lead and other government and support team members
  • Perform detailed task planning, overseeing execution progress
  • Support the oversight of program activity and milestones, budget execution, and contractor progress
  • Support activities to ensure efficient operations and that all products are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Provide contract management and acquisition support
  • Support the development of program briefings to all levels of the Government
  • Contribute the development of program plans, briefings, and technical reports
  • Organize technical meetings and conferences

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters degree biology or public health with 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Must have an Active US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance
  • DoD / Military Technology Analysis or Bio-Defense Policy Experience / Studies
  • Demonstrated experience managing schedule, budget, and program risks for fast-paced advanced technology programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using modern PC computer techniques, systems, and tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience providing technical, management, or financial support for the execution of advanced technology development programs in the health sciences or public health sector
  • Performing program oversight to ensure critical elements are addressed.
  • Ability to work independently
