Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:
  • The Part-time SCO Spouse Instructor (20 hours per week) will support the client, the Defense Security Cooperation University at WPAFB and in Crystal City, VA. This exciting opportunity will be a rewarding chance to learn and support our country in the Security Cooperation enterprise. You will manage the SCO Spouse Course to include curriculum development and execution support (with DSCU assistance) and instruction. Candidates should have prior experience as a SCO spouse in a US Embassy abroad and understand the challenges and benefits of living in an such a complex, foreign environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach blocks of instructions in resident and online.
  • Create, modify, and update courser curriculum.
  • Assist with management of course LMS system.
  • Answer students’ questions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education:
      • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or higher degree), or 3 years direct related experience in lieu of degree.
    • Experience:
      • Candidates should have prior experience as a SCO spouse in a US Embassy abroad and understand the challenges and benefits of living in an such a complex, foreign environment.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Ability to obtain and maintain an US Secret Security Clearance.
      • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data system.
      • Telework is available and travel will be required if not located at Wright Patterson AFB.

      • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Business Partner/Effective Communicator:
      • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively (autonomy is key)

      • Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability.

    • The following hourly range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
      • USD $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
    • Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
