Responsibilities:
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conducting therapy sessions to improve speech and language abilities.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for students.
- Monitoring and documenting students' progress.
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
