Responsibilities:

As a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Conducting therapy sessions to improve speech and language abilities.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for students.
  • Monitoring and documenting students' progress.
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.
  • Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
