RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • MCIS trainers will conduct both formal information system operator training and informal over-the-shoulder MCIS training during collective training events.
  • Responsible for Developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for the employment of MC systems.
  • Design voice and data system architectures for unit staff/team collaboration and information sharing within Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Command Post (CP) and War-fighter functional area cell systems/applications architectures based on user or system design specifications.
  • Develops and adapts training materials and documentation to support Gaming and Simulations capabilities.
  • Develops training environments that are unique to unit training requirements, completes setup and configuration of systems, conducts testing, troubleshooting and modification of systems as required.
  • Delivers single and multi-echelon collective training in accordance with established MTC TSPs.
  • Must support US Army Mission Command capabilities which include but not limited to CPOF, FBCB2, BFT/BFT2, JCR, JBC-P, DCGS-A, TIGR, GCCS-A, ICSF, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, and JADOCS.
  • MCIS trainers will maintain/update Army Mission Command Systems (MCSs) courseware documentation, which is closely aligned with each PM system TSP's.
  • Manages and leads the MCST with administrative and training oversight of assigned personnel ensuring successful execution to the highest of standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 10 years' related experience in instructional development.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training and the use and application of off-the-shelf tools and associated equipment and systems.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with Military training and training support.
  • Have had experience in operations and training requirements at Brigade or higher level.
  • Have been an Operations Sergeant Major or Operations Sergeant in a Battalion, Brigade, Division or Corps Command Post (preferred).

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • BA/BS degree and Army CGSC or Intermediate Level Education or equivalent level military schooling (preferred).
  • Graduate of the Army Battle Staff Course and/or certified as a Digital Master Gunner

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Active Security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
