Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the assessment, treatment, and intervention of communication disorders in students. We are looking for a compassionate professional who is committed to helping students achieve their communication goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed SLPs to conduct screenings and assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of licensed SLPs, in accordance with state regulations and district policies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and educational settings.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data to monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program approved by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
  • Valid California state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
  • Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
