Position Overview: Soliant Education is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled School Registered Nurse (RN) in Highland Park, IL. This role will be instrumental in delivering health services to students in grades 6 through 8, including those in a self-contained special education program. The position is available from August 12, 2024, through May 30, 2025.
Grade Level:
- 6th - 8th grade, including a self-contained special education program
Schedule:
- Staff Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:20 AM - 2:50 PM
- Wednesday: 7:20 AM - 3:05 PM
Anticipated Start Date:
- Nurse Training: August 12, 2024
- First Day of Student Attendance: August 19, 2024
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive health services and care to students in grades 6 through 8, including those in a self-contained special education setting.
- Administer medications, perform first aid, and offer emergency care as required.
- Work closely with school staff, teachers, and parents to address health concerns and promote student well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and manage health-related documentation.
- Develop and implement health education initiatives and advocate for a healthy school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Illinois.
- Experience in a school setting or with adolescent and special education populations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrated compassion, organization, and attention to detail.
