Oversees the design and implementation of lesson plans, instructional methods, and training materials that support the Housing Facilities Career Progression Program. Participates in departmental management by recommending resource allocation and proposing new or enhanced programs. Provides ongoing feedback to the Director of USC Housing Facilities, Operations and Maintenance to promote employee growth and development. Supervise a team of 4 staff members in the development of comprehensive lesson plans, training materials, and evaluation tools to support the technical and professional development of over 170 Facilities employees. Establish clear milestones and measurable objectives to ensure participants acquire the required skills and certifications. Conduct regular reviews and updates of program content to stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and evolving institutional needs. Integrate a structured on-the-job training component to provide practical and develop tailored apprenticeship pathways across various trades and technical areas. Cultivate partnerships with external organizations, trade schools, and industry associations to enhance training resources. Implement innovative learning tools, such as simulation-based training, virtual reality modules, or e-learning platforms, to further enrich the apprentice experience.Essential Function:YesPercentage of Time:30Job Duty:Program Management:Manage the Apprenticeship Program for Housing Facilities and other related programs including the day- to -day operational and annual program modifications. Manage the career progression annual assessment phase ensuring assessment cycle is communicated. Ensures that support and tools are provided to leaders as they perform the annual assessments. Manages the process for identifying program modifications and improvements. Track program progress, strategic priorities, and analyzes them for trends to identify successes as well as areas of improvement. Develop and implement program improvement plans. Lead the design of individualized development plans for apprentices and staff to align with long-term career goals. Advocate for resources and support needed to expand opportunities for staff development and retention. Partner with SAAS Human Resources to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training initiatives to address workforce needs. Facilitate career workshops, resume-building sessions, and skills assessments to prepare apprentices for upward mobility. Maintain compliance with established performance standards affecting the Apprenticeship program.Develop and manage systems to track alumni outcomes, measuring the program’s impact on career advancement and retention.
