Ultrasound Technologist-PRN

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Operates ultrasound equipment to performclinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasiveprocedures according to established standards and practices.Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal,pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively withstaff and radiologists.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved DiagnosticMedical Sonography Program or equivalent experience according toIntersocietal Accreditation Commission(IAC).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
NoneMust become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months ofemployment. Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/orRVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. Licensurerequirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registrationthrough ARRT (BS).
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
One (1)year of experience is preferred.
Registered ARDMS and/orRVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is desired.
