Job Description: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 7th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team at Soliant Education in Jefferson, SC. As a 7th Grade ELA Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the language and literature skills of our students and preparing them for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate English Language Arts curriculum and lesson plans for 7th-grade students.
  • Create an inclusive and interactive classroom environment that nurtures a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking.
  • Utilize creative teaching methods to inspire a passion for literature, language, and communication.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents and fellow educators to support students' language and literacy education.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organized classroom conducive to English Language Arts exploration.
  • Promote positive behavior and social growth among students through the study of literature and language.
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • South Carolina teaching certification for 7th grade ELA (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Prior teaching experience in English Language Arts or middle school education is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with young learners and a commitment to their growth and development.
