We are seeking an experienced and passionate High School World History Teacher to join our team on a W2 contract basis. Job Description:

As a High School World History Teacher, you will play a crucial role in educating and inspiring students in the field of world history. You will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment, delivering high-quality instruction, and fostering a love for history among high school students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive, standards-based world history curriculum.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Valid teaching certification in South Carolina.
  • Proven experience teaching world history at the high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of world history curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.

Contract Details:

  • This is a W2 contract position.
  • Duration: Remainder of the current school year.
