Music Teacher

Employment Type: Full-time Contract Position through Soliant Education

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team in Chesterfield, SC. As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students across K-12 grades to explore the world of music, develop their talents, and foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging music curriculum tailored to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, aligned with state standards and educational objectives.
• Teach a variety of music concepts and skills, including vocal and instrumental techniques, music theory, music history, and performance skills.
• Provide instruction on a range of musical instruments and genres, fostering creativity and self-expression in students.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students of all backgrounds and skill levels feel empowered to participate and grow as musicians.
• Organize and direct school musical ensembles, such as choirs, bands, and orchestras, and facilitate opportunities for students to showcase their talents through performances and concerts.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to promote the importance of music education and advocate for the needs of students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification/license in Music Education (or eligibility to obtain certification in South Carolina).
• Demonstrated experience in teaching music to students of diverse ages and abilities, with proficiency in vocal and instrumental instruction.
• Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance practices across various genres and styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students in musical learning experiences.
• Passion for music education and a commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and musical excellence in students.
