Hospice and Palliative Care Opportunity

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a BC/BE Palliative Care Physician to join our rapidly growing Prisma Health Hospice of the Midlands. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exemplary clinical skills and embrace a compassionate, interdisciplinary team approach to care. This position offers the opportunity to work in an innovative Hospice, Home - Based Palliative Care Program and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. Academic appointment is available through the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

  • Our interdisciplinary team consists of attending physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, nurses and board-certified chaplains with access to wound care nurse, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
  • Opportunity to teach fellows in our established Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship that welcomes three fellows annually.
  • Opportunity to provide evidence-based care to inpatient and outpatient hospice patients in the Midlands.
  • Opportunity to care for hospice patients in their home environment.
  • Opportunity to assist in Home-Based Palliative Care where practitioners meet patients’ needs in the home environment.
