Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) dedicated to helping students develop strong communication skills across their elementary and middle school years?

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated SLP to join our team in the St. Helena, CA area This full-time, on-site position for the 2024-2025 school year offers the rewarding opportunity to provide vital speech and language services to students across the elementary and middle school spectrum.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct individual and group speech-language evaluations to identify students' communication needs specific to their developmental stage (elementary or middle school).
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's speech and language goals, considering their unique developmental stage and educational setting (elementary or middle school).
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches to address a range of communication disorders commonly seen in students across the elementary and middle school spectrum, such as articulation difficulties, language delays, fluency issues, social communication challenges, and voice disorders.
  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students' communication development in all settings.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of interventions to inform ongoing therapy plans.
  • Create positive and supportive learning environments that foster communication skills, confidence, and social interaction in students across the elementary and middle school spectrum.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology for the elementary and middle school student population.

Qualifications:

  • California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
  • Prior experience working with students with speech and language impairments in a school setting, preferably across an elementary and middle school caseload, is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in speech and language assessment, intervention, and program development tailored for students at various developmental stages (elementary and middle school).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students of all ages, parents, and school staff.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Understanding of child and adolescent development as it relates to communication skills across the elementary and middle school spectrum.
  • Passion for helping students of all ages overcome speech and language challenges and reach their full potential.
