Description

The overall purpose of the position is to provide Supervision and Support for the day-to-day operations of the Mobile Concessions Unit on campus.
The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and delegation of responsibilities within the operation such as: Excellent guest experience, inventory, food preparation, safety, and sanitation. This will include Athletic Events, Pop-up events for student engagement experiences, and support with catered functions.

Examples of Duties

Recruit, hire, and schedule student employees for support of operations.Recruit, coach, counsel, and train employees.Maintains all State and Federal Food Code and Safety Regulations.Maintain inventory controls and product pricing.Participates in day-to-day production within operations.Organizes work on area displays, merchandising, product development andpromotions. Creates menu ideas & options with support from Culinary Management Team.Sets up safe operation of vehicle, workstations, prep areas, and POS system.Maintains all area equipment, prepares work orders and assesses need for repairs and/or replacements.Handles customer complaints, concerns, suggestions.Reviews and reconciles cash receipts, debit, credit transactions, ensures proper cash handling procedures, secures all monies.Replenishes items as necessary and maintains adequate inventory levels.Works with Purchaser for timely arrival of product.Assists Catering Chef when unit is not in operation.Assists in budget planning and revenue forecasting.Must be available to work (if needed) all shifts including nights and weekends.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Typical Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma required, Associates Degree in Business, Hospitality or related field preferred.Extensive experience in field or combination of Education and Experience may be considered.ServeSafe Manager Certification or willingness to become certified.Hold Valid State of Maine Driver’s License.Experience:
Previous experience in Hospitality/Retail Operations.Works independently in oversight of day-to-day operations.Reviews work of others to ensure conformity/quality.Supplemental Information
