We are committed to enhancing the educational experience of students in Sarasota by providing exceptional speech and language services. Our goal is to support students' communication needs and promote their academic and social success. We are currently seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team for the upcoming school year.

Position Overview:

As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language disorders across various school settings. Your work will be pivotal in helping students improve their communication skills and succeed academically and socially.

Available Positions:

  1. Elementary Schools (Full-Time)
  2. Middle School & Elementary Schools (Full-Time)
  3. Elementary & Behavior Alternative Schools (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication difficulties, including speech articulation, language development, and social communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and ensure consistent support for students.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and assessment results.
  • Consultation & Training: Provide guidance and training to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' communication needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. State licensure in Florida is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Additional Requirements:

  • Onsite Work: This position requires physical presence at assigned schools. Remote or hybrid options are not available.
  • Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple school assignments and adapt to varying student needs.
