Piper Companies has a Manufacturing Associate opportunity supporting a program with one of our highly renowned pharmaceutical clients in the Gaithersburg, MD area. This role leads and develops biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes in a cGMP environment.
Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Associate include:
·Operates and serves as a trainer for operation of manufacturing equipment such as: incubators, stainless steel and disposable single-use bioreactors, depth filtration skids, chromatography skids, single-use mixers, centrifuges, cleaning/sanitization of equipment, washers, autoclaves, tanks and in-process testing instruments.
·Monitors process parameters, contributes to investigations, troubleshoots during processing, and recommends potential solutions.
·Serves as the “Subject Matter Expert” in unit operations to improve quality, ensure safety, and drive process efficiency and accuracy.
·Support process improvement initiatives and authors or revises standard operating procedures accordingly.
·Reviews executed Production Records for accuracy and completion.
Qualifications for the Manufacturing Associate include:
· 1+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience is required.
·Bachelor of Science in Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, or similar degree is required.
·Experience supporting both upstream and downstream/all-stream manufacturing processes.
·Proven leadership experience within the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Compensation for the Manufacturing Associate includes:
·Salary Range: approximately $28.00 - $36.00 hourly, commensurate with experience
