Drafter/Designer (Marine) Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Marine Drafter/Designer to join our team. The Marine Drafter/Designer will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and schematics for various marine vessels and offshore structures. This role requires strong technical drawing skills, proficiency with design software, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other team members to produce high-quality designs.

Drafter/Designer (Marine) Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed design drawings, schematics, and diagrams for marine vessels and offshore structures using CAD software.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, naval architects, and other team members to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback into design revisions.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, USCG).
  • Conduct quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine drafting and design technology and incorporate best practices to enhance design quality and efficiency.

Drafter/Designer (Marine) Position Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • 5+ years of related experience.
