About The Position
An FQHC is seeking a family medicine nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Washington, DC, and there are other locations around the area.
The credentialing timeframe for this position is typically 45 days; however, if the provider has previous experience working at a DC FQHC, this can be expedited to as quickly as 3 weeks. The schedule involves working from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with patient-facing hours between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm, and a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The facility operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The patient demographic primarily consists of adults, with a significant portion being older patients seen by IM providers. A large percentage of the patient population is immigrants, with 60% to 90% being Spanish-speaking. The required certifications for this position include BC or BE, a DEA certification, a DC license, and ideally, Medicare/Medicaid credentials. COVID and flu vaccinations are mandatory for this role. The EMR system in use is E-Clinical Works. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is Spanish-speaking or, at the very least, comfortable working with a translator.
