Information Technology/System Administrator II

The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The IT/SA II will provide information technology support which includes system administration, network administration, application administration, database administration, and computer security support for a broad range of UNIX, Solaris, and PC based computer systems, and weapon system software/hardware. Specific tasks include Solaris clustering, Solaris security, Containers/Zones, and shell scripting.

 

Schedule

  • Facilities are open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)

Requirements

  • Candidate MUST HAVE a Top Secret security clearance .
  • Experience required depends on candidate's education level
    • No Degree requires 6 years' experience providing network environment or advance level computing environment support
    • AS requires 3 years' experience providing network environment or advance level computing environment support
    • BS or higher requires 2 years' experience providing network environment or advance level computing environment support
  • Experience must include at least one of the following:
    • Windows Server
    • Shell scripting
    • Linux (RedHat)
    • VMware
    • Storage/Cloud technologies
    • Cisco IOS
    • DNS/LDAP/HPOV
    • Active Directory
    • Experience in UNIX or Solaris environments
    • Experience as WebLogic Admin
    • Experience with software package installation, patching & upgrading
    • Application troubleshooting and testing
    • Oracle DBA experience in the UNIX operating system
    • Experience in high availability environment
    • Experience in software development environment
  • Required to have one of the following DOD approved 8570 certifications:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA+

Preferred
