EssentialDuties &Responsibilities

  • Developand execute comprehensive outbound prospecting strategy to securenew and existing group room and event business, specificallytargeting shoulder and off-peak groups
  • Increasemarket share through effective networking, research and businessdevelopment activities in order to target, solicit and win newbusiness
  • Convert group and meeting inquiries tosales via fast response time, exceptional sales skills and diligentclient service
  • Represent Great Wolf at localand regional trade and travel shows in accordance with Lodgestrategy to promote Groups brand and uncover newopportunities
  • Demonstrate strong accountmanagement fundamentals, including effective entry of allactivities in CRM system, tracing next steps, pipeline managementand setting future meetings.
  • Build and maintainkey client relationships, generating repeat business and lifetimevalue
  • Prepare compelling group proposals, salesmaterials and contracts that result in saleswins
  • Deliver on assigned group room andcatering sales goals that contribute to the overall financialsuccess of the lodge
  • Exercise appropriateauthority to skillfully negotiate contracting terms including, butnot limited to, pricing for meeting room rental and audiovisual
  • Submit a weekly report to the directorof sales and catering documenting sales activities, convertedbusiness and pipeline progression
  • Create andupdate quarterly sales action plans outlining business developmentobjectives and market segment strategy
  • Provideconsultation/advice to clients on all aspects of lodge's facilitiesand services when proposing and contracting groups andevents
  • Monitors room blocks and communicateswith appropriate property personnel on a weekly basis regardinggroup room pick-ups, rooming lists,etc.
  • Represent the lodge in investigating andresolving any group complaints or conflicts including, but notlimited to: billing issues, misplaced items, reservations andcontract discrepancies
  • Complete Banquet EventOrders (BEOs) and Resumes for clients and operations departments tocommunicate specific needs, contracted/agreed-upon details andpricing for the meeting, event orprogram
  • Provide detailed information onmeeting-specific needs throughout the entire booking process fromnegotiation through departure
  • Enter accuraterooming lists, routing information, tax-exempt status andverification of payment in Company softwaresystems
  • Maintain Posting Master (PM) accountledger by keeping track of all open PMaccounts


BasicQualifications &Skills

  • Bachelor’sdegree in hotel/hospitality or related field, or equivalentcombination of education/experience
  • Minimum 4years in sales with specific experience in hospitalityevent/conference sales
  • Demonstrated proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite
  • Successful completionof criminal background check and drugscreen
  • Successful Department of Motor Vehiclecheck
  • Professional communication skills bothverbal andwritten
