Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in Arkansas. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, providing interpretation services to facilitate communication in educational settings. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring equal access to education for all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation services during classes, meetings, and school events.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff to support students' educational goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interpreting assignments.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., RID certification) is required.
  • Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various communication styles and environments.
  • Knowledge of educational terminology and practices is a plus.
