Our Environment, Health, and Safety(EHS) team is leading on wide-ranging initiatives to make Primientan industry leader in all aspects of EHS - from switching away fromcoal power to providing a psychologically safe workingenvironment.

The PSM Manager will drive andsupport process safety management initiatives at the Decaturfacility, in line with the global EHSS Management System and theCOMAH/OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk ManagementPlan (RMP). Together with the operations, engineering andmaintenance teams the PSM Manager will improve overall PSMperformance of the facility. This individual will work on projectsof varying scope that will encompass multiple aspects of PSM(Hazard identification, Hazops, Bow Tie Analysis, Scenario BasedAuditing, Incident Investigation) for a facility with ~600employees and contractors.

Keyresponsibilities: Corporate Process Safety Manager
  • Coordinate complianceefforts in line with COMAH/OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)andEPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) rules
  • Embed aPSM Management System at the facilities and develop localknowledge
  • Provide regulatory interpretation andtechnical support on process safety matters and siteprojects
  • Coordinate collection and maintenanceof Process Safety Information (PSI) with plant personnel
  • Introduce Process Safety Performanceindicators into the facilities
  • Determineappropriate process hazard analysis methodology based on scope ofwork and proposed Management of Change(MOC)
  • Coordinate PHA revalidation schedulingand employee participation with plantpersonnel
  • Oversight of Process Safety CriticalAsset Integrity program at thefacility.
  • Development of Major AccidentResponse Plans
  • Implement a sustainable uniformformat for developing and updating OperatingProcedures
  • Establish a culture of programownership through employee participation by collaborating withemployees on their roles and responsibilities within process safetymanagement
  • Coordinate process safety trainingneeds
  • Coordinate review of contractor PSMqualifications
  • Provide oversight to MOC bymaintaining and auditing MOC and Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR)records and procedures
  • Coordinate review andfollow-up of Mechanical Integrity inspection reports
  • Champion facility siting process to embedrequirements into an effective managementsystem
  • Coordinate a sustainable approach to PSMself-audits and inspections
  • Coordinate site'srecord keeping process for tracking and closing PHA and auditaction items
  • Participate in process safetyincident investigations
  • Analyze process safetyincidents and trends and develop strategic goals forimplementation


ABOUTYOU
  • Bachelor'sDegree required (prefer Chemical or MechanicalEngineering)
  • 5+ years related experience inProcess Safety in a chemical/food manufacturingenvironment
  • Proven written and verbalcommunication skills in English with the ability to effectivelyinteract with site management and field operationspersonnel
  • Strong organizational, analytical,problem solving, and decision-makingskills
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal,communication, team building and influencingskills
  • Ability to research, analyze, interpretand implement EHS/PSM regulations, standards, and bestpractices
  • Experience in HSE management systemsand auditing
  • Experience in root causeinvestigationtechniques
