Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Drexel Hill, PA area. This full-time, on-site position offers the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of 7th graders with diverse learning needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers to create a comprehensive learning environment for students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and IEP goals, focusing on the specific needs of middle school learners.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and differentiated learning techniques to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Provide students with social-emotional learning support to promote their overall well-being.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and report on student achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania State Special Education Teaching License with a Middle Grades endorsement (preferred) or General Curriculum endorsements.
  • Experience working with students with special needs in a middle school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of special education curriculum, assessment practices, and instructional methodologies tailored to students in grades 6-8.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction, create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and effectively manage a classroom environment conducive to middle school learning.
  • Understanding of the unique social and emotional needs of middle school students.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for helping students with special needs reach their full potential.
