About the Role:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher for a full-time, on-site position in Naugatuck, CT. This role involves working with students to provide specialized instruction and support tailored to their unique needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering an inclusive learning environment and committed to helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of students.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and goals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to student progress and IEPs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and work collaboratively with educational teams.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of Connecticut.
- Proven experience working with students with special needs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
