Benefits Specialist, Senior

Key Role:
Assist in the evaluation, design, development, and administration of domestic benefits including assisting with benefits strategies, vendor management, financial process flows, and presenting recommendations. Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, Labor Accounting, Legal, and other departments to address benefits-related concerns, projects, and initiatives. Maintain current knowledge of policies, rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to labor relations and ensure company compliance. Conduct complex analysis and research on benefit program processes and vendor and benefit billing issues, trends, utilization, cost, and budget. Create detailed presentations outlining options and recommendations. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and may supervise team members. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with benefits administration
- Experience in finance
- Experience with Workday and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree

- Ability to leverage problem-solving and analytical expertise
- Ability to address escalated employees’ benefits-related inquiries and issues
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and implement multiple projects simultaneously
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations
- Possession of excellent customer service skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
