Instructor (Sec Coop Mgmt) - Security Clearance Required

Responsibilities
- Part-time 960 hours per year position. The candidate performs instructor duties such as conducting exercises, seminars, workshops, and tutorials in resident and non-resident courses. Must serve as an advisor/mentor to student groups and individuals and act as a course manager and/or cohort manager during instruction.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security clearance
- What You'll Do:
- Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to serving in the capacity of Instructor of Security Cooperation Management at the Defense Security Cooperation University and supporting the organizational goals through effective instruction for the Security Cooperation Organization/Officer (SCO) Department.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the department in preparing military officers, enlisted personnel, and DoD civilians to serve within SC Organizations in demanding, inter-agency, and international environments and to execute SC programs and processes that support all DoD interactions with foreign defense establishments.
- Must have relate-able SC experience and be able to teach students who will be working in the SC enterprises.
- Must be able to relay theories, principles, best practices, tactics, and techniques.
- Should possess knowledge and experience with the following topics: SC Planning, FMS CASE Management, and International Training Management.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or higher).
- Experience:
- Candidate must have at least five years of specialized experience in the SC workforce (experience may have been gained in the military or private sector).
- Having executed Security Cooperation, can demonstrate specialized experience in the field of security cooperation (SC) with international partners and in the following areas: SC Organization, Operations; International Training Management; SC Planning; and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case Management.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Skills & Technology Used
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively (autonomy is key)
- Ability to work as necessary to meet customer needs.
- Effective communication skills with an appreciation for the appropriate ways to interact with managers, coworkers, and customers.
- Effective cross-organization collaboration abilities
