Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Galena, Kansas (Near Joplin, Missouri)

Position Overview: Join our team in Galena, Kansas, just a short drive from Joplin, Missouri, as a Speech-Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate will provide speech and language services in a school setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified disorders
  • Provide therapy to students with speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Kansas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or ability to obtain licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
