Hours: 40 hours guaranteed, 8am - 5pm with flexibility with later end/start time. Travel: Must be able to travel to New York City and Bridgehampton, NY on occasion, and more frequently during the summer months(housing is provided). Must be able to travel for 2 – 3 weeks at a time. Housing is available ONLY for the hired individual in all locations. But also live-out candidates in NYC and FL are encouraged to apply. Overview:A private couple in New York City is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced Housekeeper/Cook/Caretaker to support the daily care of two elderly principals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet, and comfortable wearing multiple hats—helping with cooking light lunches and dinners for the couple, hands-on housekeeping, laundry and organizing. Key Responsibilities:Perform full housekeeping: daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, and household organizationPrepare simple, healthy meals such as baked chicken or fish, steamed vegetables, and fresh salads for the coupleServe coffee, tea, and other beverages to visiting guests in a polite and professional mannerAccompany the principal to medical appointments and local errandsTravel with the principal to NYC and Hamptons during the summer months (housing provided)Provide companionship and reminders for medication and routines, assist with getting in and out of bed. Oversee vendors and service appointments, and liaise with appropriate contacts for household repairs and maintenance (e.g., changing lightbulbs, scheduling handyman services)Run household errands such as grocery shopping and pharmacy runsWalk and feed a small dog as neededRequirements:Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role within a private homeExcellent references from previous employersGreat cook and comfortable with handling foodExperience with meal and beverage serviceProactive and self-starter mindsetOverall, a helpful and supportive attitudeFlexible to travel for weeks/months as needed by the familyProfessional, discreet, and service-oriented with a can-do attitudeFluent in English and legal to work in the U.S.Excellent references from previous long-term rolesValid driver’s license; confident driving in the Hamptons, NYSOCIETY STAFFING379 West Broadway, 2nd FloorNew York, NY 10012Agency DCA License #2008231646.681.4777 | societystaffing.comSSIN456
