JOBPURPOSE:
Performs patientassessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures,respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gasanalysis and interpretation, maintenance and management ofequipment and patient and family education in both adult andneonatal areas.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
Associates Degree inRespiratory Therapy Sciences
MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous WorkingExperience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completionof department specific orientation including skills validation ofcompetencies for the duties and responsibilities of thislevel.
Must have 2 years work experience as anNICU RRT Therapist.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
Registered by the National Boardfor Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of MedicalExaminers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP. Must beactively practicing and maintaining all required competencies inboth adult and neonatal areas.
ADDITIONAL PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
Neonatal PediatricSpecialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Carepreferred.
