Contract Dates: August 6, 2024 - May 22, 2025
Caseload: Middle school, approximately 18-24 students
Job Description: Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Five Points, Alabama for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects, focusing on their individual strengths and needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to differentiate instruction and accommodate students' diverse learning styles
- Utilize data-driven assessment tools to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and solicit feedback
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
- Alabama Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a middle school setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
