Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Concord, NH. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders, supporting their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments.
  • Implement therapy activities and exercises as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, following treatment plans developed by the SLP.
  • Collect and document data on student progress during therapy sessions.
  • Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining records of therapy sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP about student progress and any concerns.
  • Support classroom teachers in integrating speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and review of student-specific goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
  • Valid SLPA certification or license in New Hampshire.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
