Posting Summary:

Serves as a bridge between the Payroll Processing and Kronos teams, providing critical support and expertise across both functions while ensuring excellent customer service to the campus community. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of both payroll operations and time-keeping systems, with the flexibility to support either team as needed during peak periods or staff absences. Independently support and maintain employee personnel data within the PeopleSoft and Kronos systems to ensure integrity of timekeeping data and to ensure that processing standards, deadlines and compliance standards are met for timely and accurate payroll. Provide payroll resolution guidance based on a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of payroll processes and UVM policies and communicate information related to complex payroll processes and procedures to campus. Work collaboratively as part of the larger payroll and tax services team.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field, or Associate Degree in accounting and 1-3 years’ experience in accounting and payroll. Basic knowledge with database and spreadsheet applications required. Effective analytical, communication and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range:

$26.50/hr to $27.50/hr
