Mason, OH is located in Warren County, “Ohio’s Largest Playground.” Major attractions are right around the corner, including Great Wolf Lodge and Kings Island Amusement Park. Our site is 20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, where there are multiple attractions including The Newport Aquarium and The Cincinnati Zoo. Job Description:

L3Harris Space & Sensors is looking for a Systems Engineering Specialist with expertise in design and analysis of complex electrical and RF systems. The Integration & Test Engineer will design, develop, integrate, test, deliver, and support electrical systems and sub-systems as part of the larger systems engineering and project team.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Understand the program level objectives, system concept of operation, and product architectures to determine and develop system/sub-system requirements, methods, and solutions.
  • As part of a team, design electrical sub-systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Perform hardware/software integration and development testing to prove out the designs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute requirements verification/validation activities and work with the test group to ensure customer requirements are fully met and verified.
  • Present and participate within engineering review boards to improve overall quality and eliminate design defects early in the development lifecycle. 
  • Lead and mentor team members throughout the systems engineering process.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills through the preparation and presentation of technical reviews and program status reviews.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of systems engineering and/or electronic design experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior systems engineering and/or electronic design experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior systems engineering and/or electronic design experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government which requires U.S. Citizenship.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in the defense industry, preferably on large scale defense projects and programs.
  • Proven experience architecting and managing system level requirements in DOORs or similar requirements management software.
  • Proficient in electronic system design, development, and troubleshooting.
  • Prior experience using National Instruments hardware platforms and electronic test equipment
  • Prior experience designing and developing electrical circuits, schematics, and layouts is a plus.
  • Prior experience with communications systems and/or communication protocols. eg. RS232, 1553, RS422, Ethernet.
  • Aerospace / Defense industry experience is preferred.
  • Active Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance is preferred.
