Art Teacher Position - Minneapolis, MN

About the Role: Are you passionate about fostering creativity and artistic expression in students of all ages? We're looking for a talented Art Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Minneapolis. As an art teacher, you'll have the opportunity to inspire students from kindergarten through 12th grade, nurturing their artistic talents and helping them explore various forms of visual arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive art curriculum for students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade, encompassing a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.
  • Create a vibrant and inclusive art studio environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, take risks, and express themselves creatively.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students at different skill levels, fostering their artistic growth and self-confidence.
  • Organize and facilitate art exhibitions and showcases to celebrate students' work and foster a sense of community within the school.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate art concepts into interdisciplinary units and projects, enhancing students' learning experiences across subjects.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to share student progress, showcase achievements, and promote the value of arts education.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in art education, participating in professional development opportunities and networking with fellow art educators.

Contracting Details: This is a full-time hourly contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, encompassing grades K-12. Teachers will be employed on a W2 basis and will receive weekly pay. Hourly rates will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
