Position Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School English Teacher for the 24-25 school year in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching English Language Arts to middle school students, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and contributing to the academic success and personal development of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and rigorous lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and maintain high expectations for academic achievement.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to promote active student engagement and critical thinking skills.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student learning and social-emotional development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends and research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching license/certification in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Previous experience teaching middle school English Language Arts preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature, writing, grammar, and literacy instruction.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and social justice.
