Soliant has been engaged by a hospital in Winamac, IN, to find an experienced inpatient pharmacist. This role involves both inpatient duties and occasional retail pharmacy coverage.

Position: Inpatient Staff Pharmacist (with retail coverage as needed)

  • Location: Winamac, IN
  • Average Daily Census: Inpatient: 5, Retail: 100 prescriptions/day
  • Skills Preferred: Inpatient experience
  • License Required: Indiana Pharmacist license
  • Dates of Coverage Needed: September 3rd until a permanent candidate is hired
  • Coverage Hours Needed: 30 hours/week including every other weekend plus on-call after each shift (1 8-hour shift in retail)
  • M-F Hours:
    • Inpatient: 7a-5p
    • Outpatient: 9a-6p
  • Weekend Hours:
    • Inpatient: 8a-12p
    • Outpatient: 9a-2p

Systems and Automation:

  • Order Entry System: CPSI (training provided)
  • Site Automation: Omnicell (training provided)
  • Specialty Areas: Oncology

Staff Size:

  • Inpatient: 1 FTE Director, 1 FTE Staff Pharmacist, 2 FTE Technicians

Job Responsibilities:

  • Order entry
  • Pharmacy to dose antibiotics
  • Tech support (weekdays): restocking ADCs, USP 797 and 800 compounding, order entry, filling

Additional Information:

  • 1 week of shadowing/training with another pharmacist starting September 3rd
  • Local candidate preferred but travel expenses will be considered
  • Dress Code: Business casual or any color scrub (except camouflage)
