Job Summary

The Dual Credit Credentialed Instructor Liaison plays a vital role in supporting dual credit high school teachers who are credentialed to teach courses that simultaneously grant high school and college credit. This position acts as a liaison between high school credentialed instructors, college academic administration, faculty, and instructional support services to ensure the seamless delivery of dual credit courses taught at high schools and enhance the overall learning experience for both dual credit students and instructors. The incumbent will be dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of high school dual credit students and high school credentialed instructors and will contribute to the continuous improvement of dual credit programs at the institution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

  • Credentialed Instructor Support

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Dallas College academic administration, instruction and the credentialed instructor providing service and support.

  • Support the recruitment process to identify dual credit credentialed instructors.

  • Engage in onboarding and training to ensure credentialed instructors have access to college resources and instructional support services.

  • Document and track engagement and completion of credentialed instructor outcomes to ensure compliance with college instructional standards.

  • Collaborate with dual credit credentialed instructors to ensure alignment of instructional practices with college curriculum standards.

  • Provide guidance and resources to improve instructional methods and strategies for dual credit courses.

  • Assist credentialed instructors in developing course materials and assessments that meet college-level standards.

  • High School Partner Coordination

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with high school partners and administrators to provide information on the credentialing process and status of dual credit credentialed instructors.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between college academic leadership and high school credentialed instructors to ensure consistent course content and expectations.

  • Technology Integration

  • Support dual credit credentialed instructors in effectively using technology and digital resources in dual credit courses.

  • Assist in the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology tools for course delivery.

  • Design and develop an online training program for credentialed instructors.

  • Professional Development

    • Organize workshops and training sessions in coordination with academic schools for dual credit credentialed instructors on teaching methods and assessment strategies.

    • Encourage dual credit faculty to engage in continuous professional development opportunities related to pedagogy and dual credit education.

    • Monitor compliance with completion of required professional development done by credentialed instructors.

  • Assessment and Evaluation

  • Work with academic leadership to coordinate observations to evaluate dual credit credentialed instructors.

  • Report outcomes associated with credentialed instructor instruction.

  • Work with academic leadership and credentialed instructors to ensure completion of course assessments to measure student learning outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in education, instructional design, or a related field. Official transcript required.

  • 1 year of teaching experience in a high school or community college setting.

  • Strong knowledge of pedagogical principles and educational technology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Dallas College academic leadership, dual credit credentialed instructors, faculty, high school partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with assessment and evaluation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) educational software.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of digital learning resources and tools.

  • Experience working in a faculty support or instructional design role within dual credit programs.

  • Teaching experience in a high school setting working with dual credit or higher education setting working with dual credit programs.

  • Bilingual or Multilingual.
