Job Summary
Leads the system-wide scheduling process, overseeing planning, coordination, and assessment within budgeting parameters, collaborating with stakeholders’ college-wide. Manages a team ensuring accurate, timely course and room scheduling, optimizing space, enrollment, and faculty portfolios across the institution. Contributes to developing evidence-based business processes for an effective schedule, sharing expertise and knowledge across Academic Scheduling, Data Analytics, and the College.

Demonstrates competency in administering academic scheduling operations, providing leadership, and executing policies within assigned responsibilities.
Skilled in managing data in fast-paced environments, designing processes to enhance efficiency, and fostering student success.
Capable of independent judgment while fostering collaboration and building alliances.
Experienced in project leadership, prioritization, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Proficient in managerial tasks, attention to detail, documentation, report preparation, and effective communication across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated success working with diverse communities.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Official transcripts required.
Two (2) or more years of demonstrated expertise in PowerBI dashboard, Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power Apps, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), SharePoint, demonstrated application of data management and literacy skills, demonstrated expertise in physical space utilization, faculty teaching portfolios, physical and digital learning materials processes, and the application of compliance and accreditation guidelines in higher education are required.
Two (2) or more years of experience in Colleague, Workday, or Ad Astra Scheduling software and work-related experience in higher education is preferred.
Bilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Manages the collaborative process of schedule planning using data metrics for strategic scheduling. Additionally, identifying processes for change management in future and current terms.
Monitors and pivots section offerings based on enrollment trends working closely with Student Services and academic leadership.
Optimizes physical space usage for course offerings by developing a process to manage the assignment of classrooms collaboratively across multiple departments.
Establishes quality control metrics to ensure programing aligns with compliance guidelines.
Leads project planning, development, implementation, and control to ensure efficiency in meeting the needs of the College.
Develops processes to evaluate course needs based on student academic plans and identify gaps in course offerings in the schedule; evaluate available time/space for optimizing course offerings and areas where the schedule impacts student progress.
Forecasts scheduling and usage trends, recommending, and implementing efficient methodologies, and changes in the academic schedule in collaboration with other administrators.
Develops reports and monitor data to assess the effectiveness of the schedule.
Identifies potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develops specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
Collaborates with stakeholders across the College.
Stays updated with current best practices, research, and trends in academic scheduling.
Prepares reports and presentations on program achievements, challenges, and future plans for stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
Routinely draws upon historic context to independently make strategic decisions, including identifying stakeholders and conducting fact finding prior to escalation to leadership.
Promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Leads collaboration within Academic Scheduling and Data Analytic as well as with other teams across the College.
Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
Perform other duties as assigned.
