Position Overview:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Soliant Education, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating communication disorders among students in the Providence area. Your responsibilities will include creating individualized therapy plans, delivering targeted therapy sessions, and collaborating with educators and families to support student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and Diagnose: Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop Therapy Plans: Create and implement customized therapy plans to address each students specific needs.
  • Provide Therapy: Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to support student progress.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to enhance students' overall development.
  • Monitor Progress: Track and document students' progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Engage in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist with goal-setting and progress reporting.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Rhode Island.
  • Certification: ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and school personnel.
