Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior - Virtualization/Storage Administrator in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Virtualization/ Storage Administration.


Essential Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain VMware virtualized environments on diverse hardware platforms
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using GUI, command line interface, and Windows PowerShell
  • Work with remote customers and technical support vendors to resolve complicated hardware and software issues
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to trace and resolve technical problems
  • Utilize Remedy ITSM to track and resolve problems impacting continued system operations and make recommendations for any corrective actions required
  • Create and document potential courses of action for resolving complicated hardware and software virtualization problems
  • Plan, coordinate, and document the use of revised/updated procedures, processes, and methods for the operations and maintenance of the Data Services infrastructure
  • Review systems development, project requests, coordinate schedules and related departmental activity
  • Provide overall direction and guidance to assigned project managers
  • Review and evaluate work of subordinate staff and prepares performance reports
  • Prepares activity and progress reports regarding all systems analysis and programming sections

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility
  • HS +6 years related experience or AA/AS +4 or BA/BS +2
  • IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Certified Professional (VCP-DCV), Veritas NetBackup 10.x and NetBackup Appliance 5.x Administrator, Dell Unity Operate - Proven Professional, Cohesity Certified Data Security Professional or equivalent w/in 180 days
  • Excellent team skills, must be thorough, must have excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • Provide "on-call" support after business hours and during weekends when required
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL certification
  • Experience managing and deploying VMware vSAN environments
  • Experience with backup solutions from Veritas and Cohesity
  • Experience operating in DoD networks and environments
  • Experience with reviewing and applying DISA STIGs
  • Experience with networking and networking protocols
  • Experience with deploying and managing different storage protocols i.e. Fibre Channel, FCoE and iSCSI

Work Environment

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
