Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team near Savage, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care and will work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities. Develop accurate diagnoses and identify treatment needs based on assessment results.
  • Treatment Planning: Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' specific goals and challenges. Use evidence-based practices to guide interventions and set measurable objectives.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to clients, utilizing techniques and strategies to improve speech clarity, language skills, communication effectiveness, and swallowing function.
  • Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment processes, and strategies to support progress at home. Provide guidance on managing and improving communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, educators, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care and support.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of client evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and therapy sessions. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology to provide the highest quality care.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach and educational activities to promote awareness of speech-language pathology services and support local health initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Minnesota state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical, school, or healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology.
